Number of Economic Recession in America


In simpler term economic recession is the inactivity of the economy of the country.  The recession has the number of economic disadvantage like losing of jobs by people, decrease in gross domestic product (GDP), decrease the purchasing power leading to serious problems. America has gone through the series of recession in 1785, 1989, 1796, 1802, 1807, 1812, 1815, 1822, 1825, 1828, 1833, 1836, 1839, 1845, 1847, 1853, 1857, 1860, 1865, 1869, 1873, 1882, 1887, 1890, 1893, 1896, 1899, 1902, 1907, 1910, 1913, 1920, 1923, 1926, 1929,1937, 1945, 1949, 1953, 1958, 1960, 1969, 1973, 1980, 1990, 2000, 2007. Historical data reveals that there are 47 recessions in the country after 1785.


If we calculate the rough recurring time of the recession than will be around 5 Years. Recurring time is calculated by dividing the year by the time the recession have occurred. The recent recession starts in 2007 and ends at 2009, which has crossed the recurring time. The recession is the inevitable process and anyone needs to cope with it.
